Jay-Z and Kanye West hit United Center in Chicago, Illinois last night for their second consecutive concert in the city. During the gig, ‘Ye took a moment to address his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy getting overlooked for an Album of the Year nod at the 2012 Grammy Awards, as well as a Record of the Year nomination.
“Something I figured out earlier today - because you know, everybody came to me last night like, ‘Congratulations!’ because you know I’m leading the Grammy nominations this year. Like we always do it this time,” he said. “But, people focus, they say, ‘You ain’t got Album of the Year or Record of the Year.’ But I figured out, that’s my fault for dropping Watch the Throne and Dark Fantasy the same year. I should have just spaced it out a little bit more. But don’t worry, because me and Hov gon’ keep on making shit.”

"I don't think so," Fab told radio host Angie Martinez when asked if he would ever appear in "Love & Hip Hop." "I really went to support [girlfriend] Emily and something she was doing and I guess her show [cameras] were there and of course they took that and put a trailer or something together and put me in the trailer. ... It's just not my cup of tea. It's one side of what's going on and I don't bash it but I'm really not in support of it either. I don't think it depicts me as I am. Soulja's 2011 has included ... lying about buying a private jet, pissing off the military with one of his songs and getting arrested for allegedly carrying weed and a gun in a briefcase.

Now TMZ has learned the rapper, real name DeAndre Way, has not paid his November rent for his Atlanta pad -- a whopping $4,725 -- so he's been served with eviction papers. Soulja has until December 5 to pay up, or risk getting thrown out.

Beyonce is one smart cookie.
Today, everyone is going a little crazy with the news that the pop star may be welcoming her baby with hubby Jay-Z a little earlier than everyone expected. In a YouTube clip from the set of her video for "Countdown," King Bey holds up the Sept. 23 edition of the New York Daily News and responds to its "Oh Baby!" headline by saying she is six months pregnant.
"Hello, it's Sept. 23. Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! This was on the cover of the Daily News. Right now I'm actually shooting the video for 'Countdown' and I'm six months pregnant, pretending that my stomach is flat in body suits," the superstar says in the clip. "But thank god you can't really tell from the front, but when I turn to the side ... Oh baby! Oh baby!"
But wait! That would mean that she is due in mid-to-late December and not February, as was reported earlier during a sit-down interview with the star on Australia's "Sunday Night." That's a pretty dramatic shift in time! And it makes us wonder if Beyonce isn't maybe trying create a little bit of confusion around when she's actually due so she can give birth in peace. It's a totally understandable trick – Beyonce is notoriously private and unlike many modern celebrities, who quite literally invite cameras into the delivery room, our girl Bey has never been one to give in to the prying eyes of the press.

We've compiled a little evidence after the jump.
>>> If Beyonce was indeed six months pregnant on Sept. 23, 2011, that would mean she was about five months pregnant during her intimate, mid-August performances at the Roseland Ballroom in support of her (awesome) album 4.
Yes, pregnancy hits everyone a little differently, every lady gains different amounts of weight and begins to show at different times, but does Beyonce look five months pregnant in the first image below (from August 18)?
>>> Which brings us to the second and third pictures in the above image. Again, a lot can happen in three weeks in the life a of a pregnant woman, and we hold degrees in English and communications and not obstetrics so we are not experts in pregnancy, but the middle image is from Beyonce's performance at the MTV Video Music awards on August 28 and the third image is from the "Countdown" set video on Sept. 23. It's a dramatic difference.
It's also worth pointing out that the first image and the third image in the above photo were taken one month and five days apart.

Grammy-winning rapper T.I. recently revealed how close Maybach Music Group's Meek Mill was to being an official Grand Hustle artist and how Rick Ross was ultimately able to sign him.

Unfortunately Mill's Grand Hustle signing fell through due to T.I.'s run-ins with the law. "After my two hiatuses I was put in a position where I couldn't really make moves on Meek as quick as he may have wanted to," T.I. told Billboard.com's The Juice. "I never been one want to hold anyone back or to slow down the success of anybody. I'm the first to try to enhance what you have and if I can't make it better than I shouldn't be a part of it." Prior to the "King of the South" recently returning from an 11-month jail bid for a probation violation, Meek said he would save his "I'ma Boss" anthem remix for Tip.

"If I hold the 'I'ma Boss' remix long enough I might throw Tip on that, have him get out to the hottest song of the year," Meek said in an interview. "He ain't have no problem looking out for me and I don't have no problem doing it for him." In 2008, rumors sprung up that T.I. had signed Meek to his label Grand Hustle, but the co-sign never amounted to an ink stain. Although it's unclear as to why the deal never materialized, Meek says he still salutes the Atlanta giant. The dramatic story behind the legendary ’90s R&B/hip-hop/pop trio TLC will be featured in the first TV movie for VH1 in this series. The two surviving members of the group,Chilli and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, have signed on as consultants and executive producers for the movie. Acclaimed screenwriter Kate Lanier (“What’s Love Got To Do With It” and “Beauty Shop) has signed on to pen the bio-pic.
The gifted trio TLC, which was comprised of Chilli, Watkins and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, achieved instant commercial success with their first album, Ooooooohhh… On The TLC Tip in 1991 which sold over 6 million copies worldwide and spawned numerous Top Ten singles. On his cut “Sweet,” Common takes aimless shots at “soft” rappers, rhyming, “Y’all niggas man, y'all soft motherfuckers / Singing all around me man, la la la / You ain't motherfucking Frank Sinatra / Uh, lil' bitch / Sweet ass motherfucker.”
While many believed this was a diss directed at Drake, Common recently spoke with V103 Atlanta’s The Frank and Wanda Morning Show where he clarified the lyrics.
“Some people have been saying that, but on that song, I’m just talking about whoever the cap fits. I’m talking about rappers out there that’s soft and doing the same thing. So if the cap fits, then that’s who it is,” he said “That’s all it is. It’s whoever the cap fits, then let ‘em wear it. I think it’s a lot of creative artists out there. I think Drake makes some good music.”
Naming Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Lil Wayne as contemporaries whose music he enjoys, Com said anyone who catches feelings from the cut are the ones he’s dissing. “On the song ‘Sweet’ - which we did the video for, too, in Haiti, we just put that out - a lot of rappers may feel it. And if they feel it, then that’s who I’m talking about.”

While Redickulous claims that he’s performed for NeNe several times, even giving her a lap dance, NeNe denies that.

NeNe’s rejection and judgment of the stripper’s talent hurt his feelings a bit.

Redickulous suggested NeNe had ulterior motives for leaving the party in a huff.
“From my perception, I think it was because of the situation between her and Phaedra [Parks], and she was just egging Kandi’s mom on to make a scene,” he said.

Whatever is done in the dark comes to the light: New book alleges Tyler Perry ties to drug money

In his new memoir, Never Would Have Made It: The Rise of Tyler Perry, the Most Powerful Entertainer in Black America (And What It Really Took to Get Him There), Melvin Childs, a self-described former radio executive, claims Perry's growth was significantly dependent on his early investment in him.

How Perry became Hollywood's highest paid man

Childs also makes the shocking charge that Perry used "risky deals with drug dealers, couriers carrying large bags of cash across the country; backstabbing and double-dealing with corrupt promoters," plus other illicit means to fund his early work according to the book's press release.

Childs, who says he has an eye for writing talent, alleges that he helped discover a then unknown Perry. Childs invested in Perry by putting up the money for his production of I Know I've Been Changed at Atlanta's House of Blues -- a turning point in the star's career. Those sold-out shows led to Tyler Perry's first successful national tour, which were allegedly also made possible through Childs' money and connections. Childs says he supported the then-struggling star by providing for Perry's basic living expenses at that time.

You will have to buy the book for yourself to figure out where the drug running and double-dealing come in. Childs has certainly garnered attention for himself with that salacious hook, yet claims that Never Would Have Made It is about "how, ultimately, faith can make you whole again."

Childs might be in a good place now, but he acknowledges a fair amount of resentment towards Tyler Perry before reaching his current place of peace. On his website promoting the book, excerpts show that Childs lamented feeling disregarded by Perry for some time after having been his prime benefactor. Childs writes in Never Would Have Made It:

Was I just a promoter when you came to me for a loan because you didn't have the money to pay your cast? Was I just a promoter when you called me to borrow money to buy food or when I personally paid for the hotel you were living in while you were supposedly homeless? Maybe I was and if that's the case, then so be it. But guess what? Regardless of what he wants to call me, I was there. And because I was there, I also have a story to tell.

Whether it is a story fueled by revenge, or an earth-shattering series of insights into the hidden elements of Tyler Perry's mind, only time will tell

Woke up this morning to some bullshit so i decided to blog about it.
I announced a little over a month ago that i have a one year old daughter named Lyric. Ever since then there has been mostly negativity thrown our way. This is something that i knew would happen so THAT is why i delayed the process of sharing my happiness with this lovely world. I did not HIDE. I was out doing everything i normally do. Please believe i was not in the house looking at the wall waiting for time to pass. Jus because i didn’t publicize my pregnancy or try to make money off of it doesnt mean i am not proud of my daughter or her Father.
While i was pregnant i didnt want to deal with any negativity. When you have a human being growing inside of you, they can feel every emotion you feel. i didnt know how i was going to react with my hormones going crazy. SO i decided, im not announcing anything. If someone catches a pic then so be it, but i was going to enjoy my pregnancy no matter what. I believe that is why my daughter is such a happy baby, because i didnt subject myself to this random blog bullshit during the happiest time of my life.

My man/Daughters father, is a song writer, HipHop Artist and a Well-Known Tattoo Artist. And has been doing these things for years. And is making money to take care of his Son & his Daughter the legal way so he can be here to raise them. When he releases his Music and Art Work he has been doing i guarantee u, i wont have to say anything else.

Trina, X and Rockwilder team up for new television series, "America's Next Top Rapper."
Miami's Trina is getting ready to begin a search for America's Next Top Rapper. The former Slip-N-Slide artist is joining forces with Rockwilder and X (formerly known as Little X) to judge this new reality television series.
The three judges will search for up and coming talent in different cities and the winner will receive several prizes. Those prizes include a video shoot with X, a track produced by Rockwilder and a Universal Music distribution deal. The winner is also going to receive a photo shoot, clothing and a national tour as well as $20,000 in prize money.
Those who register can compete in Baltimore, Raleigh, Tampa, Houston, Little Rock, Detroit, Oakland and Cleveland. There is a $200 fee to register and fans will need to stay tuned for all audition dates. According to the program's site, "The first date will be Boston, MA on December 3rd, 2011. This will be the pilot for the television series. The pilot will be used to expand the distribution from 6 million to 20+ million and secure major sponsors. We will shop throughout the winter and release additional city dates for early spring 2012 with the finals scheduled for late spring / early summer time frame."

Boosie -- who was featured on the 2007 hit "Wipe Me Down" -- was in court in Louisiana Tuesday morning, where he plead guilty to three counts conspiring to bring drugs into a penal institution.

The judge sentenced Boosie to 8 years in prison.

But Boosie has bigger problems -- he's also been accused of 1st degree murder in the death of a 35-year-old man ... and could possibly face the death penalty if convicted.

O'Neal was a regular guest on the "Opie and Anthony" radio show -- and appeared on several TV shows such as "Chappelle Show," "The Office," and "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn."

Opie just tweeted, "Yes it's true that our pal Patrice O'Neal has passed away. The funniest and best thinker I've ever known PERIOD."

Tameka Raymond -- who had 2 kids with Usher during their brief 2 year marriage -- filed court papers in Georgia ... asking a judge to strip Usher of joint physical custody of their children ASAP.

According to the docs, Tameka claims Usher has repeatedly FAILED to obtain her permission to travel outside the state with the kids ... which he's legally obligated to do.

But there's more ... a lot more.

Tameka also claims Usher is required and has failed to:
-- get her approval before hiring nannies
-- give her first shot to watch the kids when he's away for more than 8 hours
-- allow her to take the kids for 2-weeks in the summer of 2011
-- let her have custody of the kids during Christmas break 2010

Tameka also claims Usher closed her Saks 5th Avenue credit card -- which he specifically said he wouldn't do -- and now she can no longer take advantage of the "special benefits" the card offers.

According to the docs, Usher also promised to pay $5k per month so Tameka could hire her own nanny for the kids -- but he hasn't paid in months, and now owes $34,000 worth of payments.

Tameka also claims there has been a "substantial change in [Usher's] income" since they got divorced -- and because of his success, she should get even more money for child support.

Lil' Kim's ex-boyfriend forcibly drugged by feds in prison for murder trial, lawyer says

The feds forcibly drugged rapper Lil’ Kim’s ex-boyfriend in an effort to make him competent to stand trial on multiple murder charges, his lawyer charged.
Prosecutors have been seeking since 2009 to forcibly medicate Damion (World) Hardy, who suffers from schizophrenia but has refused to take his meds.
But this month the feds - in violation of a court order - forcibly administered a long-lasting dose of the powerful anti-psychotic drug Haldol to Hardy at the federal prison in Springfield, Mo., where he is being evaluated, the Daily News has learned.
Brooklyn Federal Judge Frederic Block had signed the order this year barring Hardy from being involuntarily medicated without consulting his lawyer, prosecutors and the judge.
Assistant U.S. Attorney James Loonam confirmed at an emergency hearing in Brooklyn Federal Court that prison officials forcibly restrained Hardy and administered the injection on Nov. 8 because the defendant had a “psychotic emergency.”

Hardy flipped out in his cell after putting his hand through a food slot and demanding legal papers. Prison officials, unaware of Block’s order, deemed him a danger to himself or others and ordered the injection two days later, according to discussions in court.

But defense lawyer David Ruhnke charged that the feds were pulling an end run around the court order. “Now they have an opportunity to experiment on Mr. Hardy to see if anti-psychotic medicine works,” Ruhnke said. “He’s not supposed to be medicated. Period.”

Hardy, 37, is accused of being the leader of a violent Bed-Stuy drug gang, Cash Money Brothers, a name taken from Wesley Snipes’ crew in the film “New Jack City.”

He is charged with murdering six people, including an innocent bystander, and faces the death penalty for ordering the killing of a rival.

He now calls himself Isa Ibn Tibril and thinks he is the Messiah, according to court papers. Defense and government shrinks found him incompetent to stand trial in 2007.

The prosecutor said Hardy is due for another dose of Haldol on Nov. 29, but the judge put that on hold pending another hearing. “He’s not going to be medicated again without coming to see me first,” Block said.

The judge admitted that when he signed the do-not-medicate order, he did not consider the possibility of an emergency. “I just blindly approved it,” Block said.

Hardy and Lil’ Kim were engaged and living together in a New Jersey mansion, and he drove a Land Rover she gave him, according to press reports, but she has not come to court for any of his appearances since his indictment in 2006.

The 23-year-old pop star reportedly forgot to turn off the water in her ($3,100) £2,000 a night suite at The Savoy in central London, flooding her rooms and leaving the carpets a soggy mess.

The drama unfolded last Sunday night after The Barbadian beauty appeared on ITV1’s X Factor.

A Hotel spokesman remained mum and would only say: 'We are unable to comment on the guests staying in our hotel.'

But hotel insiders were more than willing to speak out.

A source told People: 'The room where Rihanna was with her entourage flooded when the bath taps were left on.
'They all left the room and when they came back the carpets were wet through. There was no lasting damage but it took a while to dry out. All of the party were hugely apologetic.

'They were told not to worry. People at the hotel were joking that those in the floor below would need umbrellas – just like Rihanna’s song in 2007,' the source added.

The Savoy is popular with celebrities including Victoria Beckham and Elton John.

The situation at the Savoy isn't the only controversy surrounding Rihanna during her visit to London.

The singer was criticised for wearing shoes with 'f*** you” on them when she appeared on X Factor.

According to docs filed last month in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, T-Boz (real name Tionne Watkins) found herself owing creditors $768,642.99 -- mostly from mortgages on her $1.2 million house.

The docs don't paint a picture of exorbitant spending -- she takes in $11,700/month in income, with monthly expenses totaling $8,821.

TLC had ten top ten singles, four number one singles, four multi-platinum albums, and four Grammy Awards ... but according to the docs, T-Boz only pulls in $1,200/month in royalties.

T-Boz might have dodged the bankruptcy bullet if she'd been able to collect the child support she claims she's owed -- which according to the docs is $250,000.

Wyclef Jean and his former charity, Yele Haiti, are facing new allegations that the bulk of the money they raised for the people of Haiti after the earthquake was misappropriated ... and some went right into his family's pocket ... allegedly.

Yele Haiti took in $16 million in 2010, according to records obtained by the NY Post. But the paper claims only $5.1 million went to emergency relief efforts, including food and water delivery to makeshift survivor camps.

According to the Post, a company called P&A Construction received $353,983. That company, the paper says, is run by Warnel Pierre ... Wyclef's brother-in-law.

But according to our sources, the final carrot that sealed the deal ... was that VH1 promised to spin off Evelyn and Chad into their own show. We're told that show would document the months leading up to their wedding ... but so far no deal to shoot the wedding has been made.

Ciara seemed to be in good spirit with two medical boots on her ankles as she enjoyed the company of her celebrity friends. During the dinner, she tweeted, “Its all about doing whatever you can to make a difference! Tonight was a GREAT night! #LOVE. Happy Turkey Day to ALL!”
The event is an annual effort providing four major meal service events that support Atlanta’s homeless by serving over 200,000 hot meals.

Toni Braxton recently set the record straight regarding rumors surrounding squabbles with her sisters and her love life. In a recent interview with Essence.com, Braxton, who has been absent from the promotional run for ‘Braxton Family Values,’ says she “loves her family,” insisting there is not beef.

“I'm a little disappointed about what's on the blogs, and people thinking that I don't want to help my sisters, or that I want to make them perpetual backup singers,” Braxton told Essence. “People have to remember that this is a reality show and some things are done for entertainment. I love my family, I'll do anything for them. It makes me not want to do reality show anymore because I wouldn't want anyone to look at my family and me in a negative light.”

As far as missing promotional dates for the new season Braxton adds: “Because I was sick. I don't want to have to always tell people I'm sick because then they'll relate it to Lupus. I had a terrible flu, but I still did ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’ After that I had to go to Russia. So that was the situation -- I wasn't feeling well.”

Braxton also touched on her relationship with ex-husband Keri Lewis, saying they went on a few dates but also says she’s been dating a snowflake.

“We’ve gone out on a few dates, I’m not gonna deny that,” Braxton says about her ex-husband. When you have kids with a person, and you really love a person, but you realize that being together is not an option right now... In the end, we definitely still love each other, and we go on dates. He’s a great dad, a great friend, very sexy, we’re doing good. It’s difficult to talk about it though.”

We’re sure Lewis isn’t too happy with his ex-wife dating other men and Braxton has made it clear that she’s been stepping out, insisting she’s been dating a “Caucasian guy.”

“I went on a few dates with a Caucasian guy, super nice, super cute, super sexy,” says Braxton. “We’ve just been on a few dates, he’s not my man, we’re not gonna get married. I’m just trying something different. He’s yummy. Who knew vanilla tasted so good? I would definitely date another Caucasian guy.”

Kanye West and his legal team submitted a brief last week for a lawsuit where a man named Vincent Peters claims he stole his ideas for his hit “Stronger.”
In the brief, the Chicago, Illinois rapper cited German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche to convince the court of appeals to uphold the dismissal of the claim. West's attorney, Carrie Hall, wrote, "it would create a dangerously low threshold for establishing copyright protection over otherwise commonplace words and phrases."
The plaintiff claims that West’s 2007 smash borrowed lines from his 2006 track of the same name. Peters says he gave West’s business manager John Monopoly a copy of his song, and that the track was then given to Kanye. Both songs feature an intepretation of Nietzsche’s maxim “That which does not kill us makes us stronger."
The original case was dismissed earlier this year.

What exactly does "non-traditional mean"? Well our insider claims that the couple does not "believe in the western marriage ideal" and are writing the rules of their marriage as they go.

The latest single from Lil Kim has been released to fans on iTunes and is entitled ‘I Am Not the One.’
The rapper teased fans about the new track on her Twitter account before premiering the release, writing: "The time has come!!!!"
The song is widely considered to be another diss directed towards her nemesis Young Money’s Nicki Minaj, the song features the 37-year-old spitting: "Now I’m beyond rich, to spit... be gone b**ch/B**ch couldn’t walk a mile in my La Vuitton’s."
Nicki and Kim have had an on-going feud for the last two years, often dissing each other on tracks.

Meanwhile, Kim is planning to release both a memoir, titled The Price Of Loyalty and a seperate documentary about her life.

Houston's Slim Thug recently opened up about the dangers of Twitter and how despite the social networking tool's popularity, it has ultimately had a negative effect on his own relationships

Asked about his inclination to post up explicit photos on Twitter, Slim said he feels it unncessary to change for anyone.

"[Laughs] -- I never post pictures out of my own phone, like rarely do I post a naked picture. I might have posted a couple of them, but most of the time, like 90 percent of the time with naked pictures, it's all coming from muthaf*ckers sending it to me," Slim said in an interview. "Different people who follow me might send me a crazy picture, I retweet it and put a crazy face on there. ... It's always been like that. They always send me nasty sh*t and sometimes I might want to do that sh*t, or sometimes I might chill, like if I'm with a girl in a relationship, she'd be in my ear so f*cking much I might not retweet naked pictures as much. But I'll still do it. I've even lost relationships behind Twitter because I'm so reckless on there. I feel like I got to be me, man. If I'm going to be with somebody, they're going to be with me as I am. They ain't going to be changing me to no square or no sh*t. I ain't going to change and not be me. After people took sides and people kept asking the ladies if they had beef, Hilson and Ciara did manage to put on a united front, appearing together on Ustream together to talk about how everything was all good. And while it may be all good between them, Hilson still seems to have some issues with “King B.” While on the red carpet at the Soul Train Awards, she was asked by Juicy magazine to hold one of their issues and do a “drop” for the publication (“This is ____ with Juicy magazine!). But when she saw Beyoncé and Jay-Z on the cover, she had a major change of heart. Not only did she ask “Who is that?” but when she found out who it was, she replied, “No, I’m sorry, I can’t do that.” After that exchange, she seemed pretty pissed off at the interviewer and cut her the death face.
I’m not sure what the problem is or where the drama lies, but Hilson’s behavior wasn’t very cute, and she’s too cute for that! Especially since it wasn’t about liking or promoting Beyoncé, but about helping out the magazine. But what do you think? Was she dissing her or is this whole thing being blown out of proportion?

The company claimed its popular performance bracelets, which retail for $30, help users improve strength, balance and flexibility. But when called out by Australian regulators, Power Balance fell like a house of cards, saying they had no credible scientific evidence that supported claims.
Bryant is owed $400,000 for giving his seal of approval to the product, reports the Orange County Register. Blake Griffin, Clippers rookie of the year, is out $20,000. Pro skateboarder Ryan Sheckler was supposed to have $25,000 coming his way for his backing. Even several professional sports franchises took a bath.

A newly freed T.I. gave thanks in Atlanta yesterday ... in the form of 300 delicious turkeys -- which the rapper generously handed out during a charity drive for children in need.

The photos were taken at The Carrie Steele-Pitts Home -- a childcare agency for abused and neglected children -- and sources close to the rapper tell TMZ, T.I. chose to give back at the institution because he had a rough childhood himself ... and wants to instill a sense of family in the kids.

T.I. tells us, "It's an honor and a pleasure to be able to be there and serve those who need me most in the community."

The 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom multi-level crib is perched on a narrow street high above the busy streets of Hollywood and is outfitted with its own elevator and two-car garage, where Chris parks his $200,000 Lamborghini Gallardo. Other features in the “transparent party house” include a two-story living room that looks out to sweeping canyon views, sleek Italian-crafted kitchen, and swimming pool and jacuzzi that light up with the flick of a switch.

The Young Money star told the host that his drink of choice was a white wine spritzer because a friend of his mother always used to offer them to him as a teen, adding: 'I'm like a Golden Girl from Fort. Lauderdale.”

Handler wryly replied: “Either that or you're a flaming homosexual.”

The 25-year-old rapper sternly muttered: “That's not the way to start off...”

The two went on to talk about how the MC came to link up with Lil Wayne and said that he and also addressed the rumours that he and Nicki Minaj were dating.

For the last decade, Trina has been a reigning member of the 305's rap royal family.

No doubt, she is the Magic City's Diamond Princess. And nobody rocks those blinged-out "Red Bottoms" like her. She's raw, real, and regal. She's badder than all them other bitches.

Her evolution, though, has never seemed artificial. As she explains, it's always been a totally natural expression of the true Trina. "I was just growing," she says. "Whether it was love, unhappy moments, fun, partying, hanging out with friends, traveling outside the country, all of my experiences were a part of my albums. Every time I did a record, I took it all into the studio."
Starting out, Trina sought to bust up hip-hop's boys club. And though it wasn't easy, she claims it wasn't that hard either. "Of course, rap was still a male-dominated game," she admits. "And I came into it around a bunch of guys like Trick Daddy and Rick Ross, who were just real strong dudes.
"But coming up among men, you get that hardheadedness, that toughness about you. So I got the best of both worlds, because I had the guys there to give me the tough part, and then it was up to me to just keep my sexy going," she laughs. "It kinda balanced out!"
Still, there was no ignoring rap's gender gap. "I wouldn't say I was considered an equal," Trina says. "I was just a new chick who was fierce, bitchy, raw, sexy. And there was a lane for it.
"Really, though," she adds, "I've worked with some of the greatest guys in the game, and they've always treated me with the same amount of respect, as if they were just working with another dude.
"Now there are so many new, talented females coming up in the game," Trina beams. "And the ladies will have a lot to say in hip-hop. It's gonna be huge. Watch out."

Jojo, who starred in VH1′s show Run’s House, referred to a transgender woman as “It” and tweeted this anti-gay comment:
“All this gay sh*t cool.out with that i dont judge nobody but I aint no fa**ot all my bitches know.”
The ugly messages were tweeted after a transgender woman put Jojo on blast saying he wanted to “chill” with her.
After Jojo made these slurs, GLAAD reached out to the reality star who agreed to send out a positive message to his 135,000 followers.
